Tools Available for your Kitchen Table Talk
- A detailed Tool Kit for Kitchen Table Talks (click to view online) describes the A to Z of organizing a kitchen table talk.

- Consent form (96 KB) - Thanks to the Local Foodies of Fredricton NB for sharing the consent form they developed. Getting participants to sign this consent form is especially important if you intend to record the kitchen table talk in any way (photos, audio or video).
- A Poster (large: 3.3 MB) (small: 1.5MB) - Download this poster template for a quick and easy way to let others in your community know about your event.
- Recipe cards - a half page summary of each discussion paper. These may provide a useful starting point for any of the 3 proposed workshops, especially "Assessing a Piece of the People's Food Policy Pie".
- A general pamphlet that was designed for 'Digging into Food Policy' - it introduces the People's Food Policy Project and some general questions.
- A series of 7 pamphlets: Stories of Food Sovereignty, which describe food sovereignty through Canadian stories.
- A list of 10 Appetizing Policy Ideas to help get your conversation going.
- A recording template, specifically designed for 'Assessing a Piece of the Food Policy Pie'.
- Dig into one of our discussion papers and find a section that is relevant to your community.

- The International Planning Committee (IPC) on Food Sovereignty is a global network of NGOs/CSOs concerned with food sovereignty issues and programs.
- Towards Food Sovereignty: Reclaiming autonomous Food Systems by Michel Pimbert, International Institute for Environment and Development
- La Via Campesina's website provides a great perspective on the international food movement that the PFPP is part of.
- The International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development provides a thorough evidence-based analysis of agriculture.

Bits and Bytes should be your first stop - it is an online searchable database of food information and tools.

Dig in! is a tool kit on food sovereignty designed by the Canadian Biotechnology Action Network, Check Your Head and the National Farmer's Union Youth.
- Rural Communities Impacting Policy has a great set of tools for working in rural areas to create policy (a Community University Research Alliance project).
- Food Sovereignty Assessment Tool by Alicia Bell-Sheeter - a publication by the Native Agriculture and Food System Initiative of the First Nations Development Institute. This is a fantastic resource that is applicable to First Nations and non-First Nations communities.
- National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation has a great resource centre with loads of articles and tools.
- Thought About Food - A Workbook on Food Security and Influencing Policy provides some fantastic workshop models and tools for moving food policy forward in your community.
- Soup's On! is a tool kit for hands on learning about the food system for pre-school to high school kids.
