New Farmers Initiative

We need New Farmers, Young Farmers, More Farmers!

And the governments of Canada need to include programs and funding to support this vision in Growing Forward II, which is currently being negotiated.

We are calling on all those who support this vision to download and send our Policy Brief to your MP and MPP (find your MP here), and to bring these to Agriculture Canada's consultations, now underway (list of dates and places).  You can also find a government document about Growing Forward II as well as a form to submit your comments to Agriculture Canada online (This section of Agriculture Canada's website has recently been put on hold due to the elections. We will provide a link to submit your comments once their site is back up).
