Eaters Unite
The PFPP is part of a powerful, vibrant food movement across Canada and throughout the world. Our work began with 1000 people including farmers, cooks, health workers, fishers and more recommending ways to reclaim and rebuild our food system. We have now engaged 3500 people in developing the People's Food Policy.
The People's Food Policy will be launched in the spring of 2011! Check in again soon for more information.
The PFPP suggests that our government base their food policy on the principles of “Food Sovereignty”, which is the right of communities to define their own agricultural, labour, fishing, food, and land policies so that they are ecologically, socially, economically and culturally appropriate to their unique circumstances. It embraces the notion that all people have the right to safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, to food-producing resources and to the ability to sustain themselves as a society.

We Should All Have a Say in Our Food System
To make sure that the People's Food Policy truly reflect a broad spectrum of opinions, we need citizens like you to contribute your ideas, values, time and effort.
