The People's Food Policy Project is backed by a growing number of concerned citizens and organizations across the country. It is a unique opportunity to develop a concrete food sovereignty policy for Canada – a policy framework that reflects our common values of health, justice and sustainability.

A huge thanks to everyone who submitted a policy idea or story!!!  

You sent us 270 policy submissions that came in from about 150 people.  Most of you submitted ideas that were the result of: conversations with other people, research or engaged processes (like in Quebec and Manitoba where there were provincial food commissions).  We can only imagine how many peoples' ideas are represented in the abundance of submissions.

For those of you who submitted, we will be sending you a first draft for your comments in February, 2010.
